The job done to put it all together was beyond our expectations! Just a great presentation of what’s possible when people of all types come together.

We’re hopeful that folks have had enough of the buffoon in the White House and will fire him in November.

Rep. Ocasio-Cortez’s remarks are worth a listen. As a woman, I am tired of men getting away with the kind of verbal abuse that Yoho is guilty of. I am thankful he will no longer represent me after November. What an absolute asshole.

Ocasio-Cortez also criticized members of the Republican Party for speaking to her “disrespectfully,” in the past, and said that Rep. Roger Williams walking “shoulder to shoulder” with Rep. Yoho before Yoho accosted her was part of a larger “cultural” problem. 

“This issue is… (about) a culture of lack of impunity, of accepting of violence and violent language against women, and an entire structure of power that supports that,” she said. 

Misogyny. I’m tired of it. You should be, too. Stop voting these bastards into office.

If 2.4 million years of human evolution were compressed into the 24 hour clock, we’ve been eating meat for 24 hours.

We’ve been eating wheat for 6 minutes.

We’ve been eating ultra-processed food for 4 seconds.

There’s a reason our current dietary choices are killing us. Our bodies have yet to adapt to wheat and ultra-processed food.

You should minimize your consumption of these foods. Animal protein should be your primary source of food. Period.

We introduced a new little one to the family. She joins her sister Luna below.

The ukulele is such a fun instrument to play! It’s so easy to learn. It was just a fluke that in May 2019 my spouse went to Puerto Rick on a family vacation and I, staying home with the pooch, and wanting to noodle around with something, went to a Guitar Center here in town and bought the Luna shown above right off the shelf. It was the only tenor they had in the store. Guitar Center seems to be a sad store. They didn’t even have replacement strings in stock.

Fast forward to over a year later and I’ve just bought my first quality uke. Once you progress so far, your skills and ear demand a better instrument. My new uke is still in the beginner/intermediate range but it plays and sounds so much better.

I bought my new uke from The Ukulele Site. I’ve been following their YouTube channel for a while. The channel is named Hawaiian Music Supply. They regularly demo their ukes and showcase some talented musicians.

I’m so excited to continue my uke playing with this new baby.

But what about classical guitar, you ask? I passed my Grade 2 exam in April of this year and decided to take a break. I will start working on Grade 3 very soon. It will take a year to prepare for and I am currently mapping out a plan.
