New Year’s Eve

It’s another New Year’s Eve and and the fireworks are popping. It’s only 10:30pm.

For those of us with dogs bothered by loud popping noises this is one of the worst days of the year. In fact, the noise is worse than usual. I say to those who like to make this kind of noise: join the military and get deployed to a war zone and then you’ll get to hear these kinds of sounds all the time. Please do us pet owners a favor and sign up now.

I’m spending my New Years with one of my dogs shut up in the bedroom to help keep her calm and quiet. My other half is with our other dog keeping her calm.

Happy Fucking New Year.

Peanut’s Horrible Week

Peanut’s had a tough week. We noticed that she seemed to have some discomfort with a canine that had previously undergone a root canal. Our vet agreed we needed a closer look. We were already aware that she has many cracked teeth.

Her canine needed a restoration, as we had suspected. However, one of her premolars had a chunk of tooth missing and needed to be extracted.

She’s on the mend and already wants to play ball! However, mouth restricted activities for a couple of weeks are our orders. Sorry, Peanut.

It’s time for pigs feet!

Yes, you heard that right! We’re making meatballs and cooking up some pigs feet. Gonna throw them into some marinara sauce for a few hours and then feast on them with a little pasta…or at least some might eat the pasta. I probably will not as I will be happy to consume some protein and fat! Remember – there’s no such thing as an essential carbohydrate.

Delectable….really…yummo!
